Bringing Families Together

Empowering families by sharing meals
in memory of Mark Freedman.

Fighting Food Insecurity

The National Institute of Health has found lowering food insecurity lowers police-recorded violent crime rates.

Reducing food insecurities bonds families with higher perceived neighborhood safety and social cohesion.

In Guilford County 44% of our neighbors face the heart wrenching choice of skipping meals or reducing their portion size.

88,000 people are unsure where their next meal is coming from. Our area ranks 14 in the country for food insecurity.

Imagine if your family was facing this crisis and the profound ways it impacts us all.

Mark’s Angel Foundation aims to change that.

Feed a Family

Your generous donation provides a bountiful meal for a family, filled with all the traditional trimmings and delicious delights. Your support allows us to not only provide nourishing food, but also bring families and loved ones together around the table to create cherished memories they will treasure for years to come.

With your kindness and compassion, we can make sure that no family goes without a meal during this special holiday season. Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of those in need.

Making a Difference

Our Mission

We are a non-profit, named in honor and memory of local chef and community member, Mark Freedman, that focuses on making our community a safer, healthier place. Making sure no children or families go hungry.

Our Team

Our team was formed from a group of concerned citizens and patrons of Mark's Restaurant after the tragic loss of our local, amazing chef, Mark Freedman. Mark's passion for food and giving back to the community brought us together to carry on his wishes.

Our History

Seeing a need to raise awareness to the rising crime and to the food deserts in our community, we formed our organization to raise money to support non-profits and organizations in our community that help keep this community safe and healthy!
