In Memory of Mark Freedman
In loving memory of Mark Freedman, our friend, brother, and cherished restaurant owner. Originally from Akron, Ohio, Mark found his passion for fine food during his time at the University of North Carolina (UNC), Greensboro, and further honed his skills at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Upon returning to Greensboro, he dedicated his life to crafting unforgettable dining experiences.
Mark’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched; his friends often remarked, Mark never met a person he wouldn’t call a friend. Though tragically taken from us at the age of 62 in 2020, his spirit endures in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he served.
Mark gave back to the community cooking meals for families in need and donating his time to end hunger. Mark was an integral part of our community. We honor Mark’s memory by continuing his passion for fine dining by ensuring that no family in Greensboro goes hungry. From supporting local organizations to delivering holiday meals, we strive to keep his legacy alive, knowing he would be proud of the nourishment and support we provide.
